Fiber Optic Splicing
& Termination
in Saudi Arabia.

Every core matters. For Riyadh offices and industrial sites, connect buildings, cabinets and business systems with planned fusion splicing, ODF/LIU termination and fiber testing.

A COMPLETE OPTICAL PATH

From a protected splice
to an organized handover.

Fiber optic services for corporate offices, commercial facilities, warehouses and industrial campuses. New backbones, network expansions and existing-link remediation begin with a defined technical scope.

01

Fusion splicing

Single-mode and multimode fiber joints for backbone links, extensions and repairs. Fiber preparation, precision cleaving, fusion and splice protection are planned around the cable construction and site conditions.

Protected joints · Organized splice trays
02

ODF & LIU termination

Optical distribution frames, light interface units and fiber patch panels bring each core to an accessible connection point. We discuss pigtails, adapters, enclosure capacity and spare-core management against your BOQ.

Core identification · Maintainable distribution
03

OTDR testing & fault tracing

An optical time-domain reflectometer helps locate events along a link, including splices, connectors and possible faults. Test wavelengths, launch and receive fibers, directions and acceptance limits are agreed for the project.

Trace review · Defined acceptance criteria
SPECIFY THE RIGHT INTERFACE

OS2 or OM-series fiber · Core count · LC or SC connectors · UPC or APC polish · Enclosure capacity

Confirm compatibility with existing equipment and the project specification.

TESTING WITH A PURPOSE

A connection is only
part of the picture.

Agree how the installed link will be evaluated before work starts. A splicer’s estimated joint loss is not a substitute for link acceptance testing.

Build the handover into the quotation.
Discuss core schedules, port labels, test traces, loss results and as-built records as explicit deliverables.

LINK ACCEPTANCE / PROJECT CHECKLIST
01

Inspect & identify

Confirm end-face condition, connector compatibility, core IDs and port mapping.

02

Locate & assess

Review OTDR events and link length using test settings suited to the fiber and route.

03

Measure end-to-end

Specify insertion-loss measurements and compare results against the agreed loss budget.

04

Record & hand over

Match results to labeled cores and provide the agreed report files and installation records.

Test methods, limits and report formats are project-specific.
CLEAR SCOPE. PRACTICAL DELIVERY.

Confidence comes
from the details.

For IT managers, consultants and main contractors, a useful quotation explains the work, the interfaces and the evidence expected at completion.

  1. 01

    Review

BOQ, drawings, fiber type, core counts and existing network interfaces.

  2. 02

    Coordinate

Routes, rack space, containment, access permits and shutdown windows.

  3. 03

    Implement

Cable preparation, splicing, termination, protection and labeling within the agreed scope.

  4. 04

    Verify

Agreed tests, remedial actions and documented handover for your team.

Requirements before promises. Schedule, material availability, testing scope and acceptance criteria are confirmed in the quotation. Manufacturer certification, warranty eligibility or specific equipment ownership should be confirmed where your project requires them.

BEFORE YOU SPECIFY

Useful answers.
Clearer decisions.

Fiber optic splicing, termination and testing FAQs for project teams.

What is the difference between splicing and termination?

Fusion splicing joins two fiber ends into a protected permanent joint. Termination presents a fiber at a connector, often by splicing a connectorized pigtail to the installed cable and mounting it in an ODF or LIU. The connector type and enclosure layout should match your network specification.

Is an OTDR trace enough to accept a fiber link?

OTDR testing identifies events and their locations. End-to-end insertion-loss testing with a light source and power meter or OLTS measures the loss across the complete link. These tests answer different questions; agree the required combination, wavelengths and loss budget before installation.

Can you work with existing single-mode or multimode fiber?

Share the cable marking, core count, connector type, route and available test records. We review compatibility, spare capacity and access before proposing repair, extension or retermination. Different fiber types and connector polish types should not be treated as interchangeable.

Which Saudi locations can I request service for?

We are based in Al Khobar and welcome project enquiries for Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Al Khobar and Jubail. Site access, travel arrangements, schedule and team availability are confirmed when the scope is reviewed.

What should I send for a corporate quotation?

Include the site city, BOQ or core count, fiber type, route lengths, ODF/LIU quantities, connector requirements, drawings and required completion date. Specify the testing, report format, shutdown windows and handover requirements so they can be included in the quotation.
